 Moon River Bridge Demolition

Description: Demolition of steel structure bridge over Moon River was completed.  The timeline was critical as environmental regulations control the specific times of year that work is permitted over rivers.   Within one month:
  • A demolition technique was performed where no rubble would enter the river.
  • Project was closely managed with client to develop a platform below to support the bridge fall.
  • Each end of the structure was blasted to sever the bridge at once from its foundations.
  • Full bridge and temporary platform were removed by crane.
