Giving Back to Our Community
Priestly is proud to partner with these exceptional organizations that help people from all walks of life with a diverse range of needs.
Southlake Regional Health Centre
Southlake is a core organization in the Newmarket and Aurora communities, and it touches lives throughout York Region and beyond. The Priestly family has benefitted from the care the hospital provides, and it gives back in many ways. Priestly is a Silver Sponsor for the annual black tie ball, and we also support the annual Festival of Trees at Christmas, and have donated equipment and in-kind demolition services to assist with hospital expansion plans. We look forward to a long and supportive relationship with this innovative healthcare hub. Learn more about our support for Southlake.
Big Brothers & Sisters of Canada
Ryan and Robin Priestly had the benefit of many mentors as they grew up learning the demolition business. That's why they appreciate the importance of mentors to children in our community. As a Bowl for Kids Sake Prize Sponsor, Priestly Demolition helps this long-standing organization help children to reach their potential through one-on-one mentoring and a growing range of group mentoring programs.
Kerry's Place Autism Services
Kerry's Place supports more than 6,000 people living with autism, as well as their families. In addition to personalizing the necessary support for these individuals, Kerry's Place is an advocate for the growing number of persons with an Austism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Priestly is proud to contribute to this remarkable organization.
Doane House Hospice
A life threatening illness impacts not only the individual, but also those around them. Doane House Hospice offers programs to support people living with such an illness, as well as their families. Art therapy, caregiver support, and bereavement programs are just a few of the ways that Doane House helps everyone live life to the fullest through compassion and hope. The hospice receives minimal funding each year, so fundraising is crucial and Priestly helps them to achieve their goals each year.
Independent living allows seniors to maintain their dignity and wellness while aging within their own home, but they can't always do it on their own. Community & Home Assistance to Seniors (CHATS) provides programs to support seniors and their caregivers to enable them to age in place. Priestly supports their important role in the community.
Yellow Brick House
For women and children living in situations of violence and abuse, the Yellow Brick House is a haven as well as a stepping stone to a new and safer life. From emergency shelter to transitional programs, counselling, and legal support, this mainstay has been empowering women and children in York Region to lead violence-free lives since 1978.
Arts Society King (ASK)
Arts Society King celebrates the Arts in King Township, offering programs and showings for local artists, as well as encouraging youth to continue building our artistic future. Through our demolition projects Priestly clears the way for beautiful new developments, and through our support of ASK, we help to create opportunities for beautiful art.
Yonge Street Mission
The Yonge Street Mission promotes change in Toronto's communities with programs that include food and relief for the homeless, as well as assistance in finding education, housing, employment, and more to help individuals and families get back on their feet. Read their Stories of Change to understand the difference they make, and to understand why Priestly donates to this remarkable organization.
Global Vision - Team Canada
Our future depends on how we prepare our youth to manage and succeed in the global economy. Global Vision provides hands-on opportunities to allow young people to build real-world experience. Our most recent experience sent Priestly employee Shannon Kuyt to Peru.
Aurora Food Pantry
Food banks serve those in our community who are not always able to afford groceries due to financial realities, which can stem from a number of situations. The Aurora Food Pantry helps individuals and families living in Aurora and Oak Ridges, and Priestly contributes to help them put more food on more tables.
York Regional Police
The goal of the York Regional Police Appreciation Night is twofold: to honour the hard-working officers and support team at York Regional Police while raising funds for police programs and equipment. The event has raised more than $2.3 million dollars since it began in 1992 and Priestly contributes their funds as a thanks to everyone at the York Regional Police.
Rotary Club of Aurora
Vic Priestly is Sargent at Arms for the Rotary Club of Aurora. Rotary is an international organization that drives change by focusing on specific initiatives in local communities. The members are leaders in their community and apply their knowledge and leadership skills to effect meaningful change to difficult problems.
